Paul A. Babey, MD
Dr. Paul Babey joined North Scottsdale Family Medicine in 2004, after twelve years of practice with Cigna Healthcare of Arizona. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and is a graduate of the Scottsdale Healthcare Family Practice residency program. Dr. Babey has been in practice since 1991. He is Board Certified in Family Practice. Dr. Babey has extensive interest and experience in diabetes management, geriatrics, pediatrics and sports medicine. Additionally, he likes to perform minor office procedures.
Joseph M. Brewster, MD
Dr. Brewster earned his Medical Degree through a combined BA/MD program at the University of Missouri; in addition, he completed his internship and residency at the University of Missouri. Dr. Brewster is Board Certified in Family Practice. He has been in private and hospital-based practice since 2006. Dr. Brewster’s interests include full spectrum family and preventive medicine; as well as, a special interest in acute and chronic wound care and minor office procedures.
Ruth L. Eckert, MD
Dr. Ruth Eckert is Board Certified in Family Practice with a special interest in adult women’s and men’s health issues. She is certified to perform acupuncture services and has a special interest in nutrition and preventive medicine. Dr. Eckert is a founding partner of North Scottsdale Family Medicine. She earned her Medical Degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Scottsdale Healthcare Family Practice residency program. She trained in acupuncture through UCLA.
Robert W. Hamilton, MD
Dr. Robert Hamilton graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. After his internship at Maricopa County General Hospital, Dr. Hamilton completed his training in the Scottsdale Healthcare Family Practice residency program. Board Certified in Family Practice, he has a special interest in nutrition and preventative medicine. He joined North Scottsdale Family Medicine after fifteen years of solo practice in Scottsdale.
Gerald L. Muncy, MD
Dr. Gary Muncy joined North Scottsdale Family Medicine in May 2011. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and is a graduate of the Scottsdale Healthcare Family Practice residency program. He had a solo-practice in Safford, Arizona for thirteen years prior to moving to Washington State. Dr. Muncy is Board Certified in Family Practice. Dr. Muncy’s interests include comprehensive family care from childhood through geriatrics, with special interest in skin procedures.
Christine Babey, MS, RDN, CDE
Christine Babey MS, RDN, CDE joined Anderson’s Nutrition in November. She graduated from the University of Arizona with her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences. Christine attended Texas A&M University where she completed her dietetic internship and obtained her M.S. in Nutrition. After working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, she became a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) to help clients manage their diabetes. In addition to diabetes, Christine has experience with geriatric nutrition, cardiovascular disease, GI disorders, and weight loss. She enjoys working with clients, focusing on their needs and goals, to provide a path towards healthy habits that can improve their quality of life. Christine grew up in Arizona. She enjoys working out, trying new recipes, watching movies, reading, and traveling. Christine and her husband stay busy with their three teenage sons and two dogs.
